Leaves on the wind (a personal Omnist rite)

     Orientation

O Holy Divine, I am here before Thee,
In solitude, my heart finds its peace,
Ever ready to heed the call of grace,
And to follow thy path in humility,
As the Holy and the blessed ones have shown.

In this my sacred space,
May I open and be willing,
Reflecting the love that flows within,
A testament to service, pure and true,
Where all that I have become’s a gift,
To uplift the weary and comfort the lost,
For in every soul, I see my kin.

Let me dwell in a haven of devotion
Surrounded by peace,
With a heart open to fellowship,
Wherein faithful spirits may gather,
To share their stories of triumph and travail.

From worldly noise, may I turn away,
From idle talk and fleeting shadows,
Seeking that which lifts the spirit,
sowing words of kindness and grace,
For in thy company, my heart will grow,
In the garden of compassion, all are welcome.

Grant me a heart of servitude, wise and gentle,
Ready to support my vows with love,
Prepared for trials that may come,
Knowing that through suffering, the soul may grow.

May my prayers rise like incense,
Constant for those who wander,
And a harbour for souls who’ve lost their way.
Let my vigils be steady,
Filled with prayer, work, and understanding.

In all my labors, guide me with thy wisdom,
To serve my Kindred and those in need,
Sharing what I have with an open hand,
For in giving, I receive

  In loving, I am loved
A reminder of the unity that binds us all.

With every breath, I will love Thee,
With all my heart and strength,
Loving my neighbor and myself as I love you,
In the spirit of peace, may I walk this earth,
Abiding in Thy Testament, now and always,
Measuring my prayers in the tears that overflow.

O Holy Eternal, I dedicate myself anew,
In every action, in each gentle word,
To be a vessel of Your boundless love,
For in serving others, I find my own,
And in the light of compassion, we are one, and we are whole.

To the Wellspring of all Potential, we offer the flow of our souls—
may the waters of life and possibility fill us anew.
To the Light of Mind and the Flame of Craft, we offer the fire of inspiration—
may our words be skillful, and our works be radiant.
To the Harmonizer of the Worlds, we offer sustenance—

may the patterns of the stars guide us in balance.

The Litany:

Ring bell: (Observe a moment of Silence)

From the persistence of noise
Comes the insistence of rage
From the emergence of tone
Comes Divergence of thought
From the enlightenment of music
Comes the wisdom of silence

Ring bell

We are a circle,

A living circle.

With no beginning

And never ending.

Here, in this place that is not a place,
at a time that is not a time,
betwixt the worlds and among them,
we approach the divine from here to there,

 From now until then,

Glory to the host of heaven

As above, so below,
as within, so without,
as the Cosmos, so the soul—
neither is here nor there.

All Gods are one God,
all Goddesses one Goddess,
each an emanation of the one divine source.

In the shining light of eternity,
all mountains are the world mountain,
all trees the world tree,
all rivers the sacred stream.

May the spirit of life guide my streams of action
to the vast ocean of its being.
May the fruits of my labor
fall upon the field of action,
giving sustenance to the seekers of divine wisdom,
at swim in the ocean of being.

In this abundance, give thanks to the One
who brought us from yesterday to the beginning of today,
with everlasting joy to earn for our souls
with good intent.

Be thou bringing us from the new light of this day
unto the guiding light of eternity,
be thou bringing us from the new light of this day
unto the guiding light of eternity.

Light the need-fire:

IAO

Behold the universe and the glory of God,
and all that lives and moves upon the Earth.
Leaving the transient; find joy in the eternal.
Set not your heart on the world of possessions—
only actions done in God bind not the souls
of living beings

We feed the fire on the heart of our land;
with this fire, we take possession
of the land it lights, of the world it warms.
From here to there, we take possession.

kindle incense:

May my breath in the heavens bear witness
to my prayers done here down below.
May we always strive to do in the world of the three,
as the holy ones and heroes do
in the serenity of the halls of glory.

O let me, pure as dawn, walk on sacred paths untold,
to touch the holy light with blessings manifold.
From me, may streams of love and grace outpour,
to crown my people’s joy forevermore.

And in their laughter, bright and true,
may I stand a proud star before the folk I knew.

    IAO

Truly I say to you,

Gather in my name,

I am with you.

There is no way to divinity, there is only the Divine.

There is no way to the Creator, only the creation it embodies.

There is no need for reunion when communion is the nature of all.

The God that can be named is not the eternal God.

The name that can be named is not the eternal name.

The way which can be shown is not the eternal way.

There is no way to God — there is only God.

 (Breath)

Blessed be our creators, our sustainers, and our guides,

And that One, transcendent of all,

Who dwells in the beyond,

Whose own form is the source of creation,

Whose reunion is the goal of all.

Oh, source of abundance —

It was You from the beginning,

Unborn Creatrix of all,

Self-begotten in the womb of space,

Whose origin begat the measure of time.

From the beginning,

Through all time,

And unto the age of ages,

Thou art the Universal Sovereign.

(Breath)

Out of nothing, the creator of worlds

Produced three elements as root material

And prior cause for all creation, joined in harmony:

Out of nothing — being.

Out of silence — tone.

Out of darkness — light.

Oh prime unity, source of all sanctity,

Bless us with your presence that there may be

Peace unto the heavens,

Heaven to earth,

Earth beneath heaven.

And may peace and goodwill abound

For all beings as limitless as space.

Be there strength and abundance in everyone.

In a land full of honey,

There is mead for all.

(Breath)

All beings are emanations of your divine source,

Like waves cresting upon an infinite ocean

Of eternal being.

From out your depths

You have sent us your avatars,

Those great masks of eternity

Through which the Infinite

Can and has communicated with the finite,

Through countless ages,

In vast variety and multiplicity of forms,

To guide us in the ways of your goodness

Through this world of progress.

They were with you in the beginning,

As they are you,

They are with us now,

And we are them.

Forward and backward you move without motion,

Endlessly effulgent in your own revelation.

(Breath)

By incarnating as your avatars

You have shown us the ways of defeating death,

That thus we may be received

Into the halls of glory

To be with you.

Praise to the One who brought us

To the state of humanity,

Where good and evil equiponderate,

Neither pressing upon the other.

It is from the balance of this harmony

That free will and elective choice emerge in human beings,

Where every act is one of project and selection,

Affability and choice,

And not of necessity and inability.

And by that measure we are to be judged,

For everything we do,

We could do differently.

Therefore it is just and right

That we should receive punishment

Or reward as our deeds require.

(Breath)

Gracious Almighty,

Unto whom all hearts are open,

All desires known,

From whom no secrets are hidden.

All power is yours

Over all names in heaven,

On earth, and under the sea —

Judge thou art of the living and the dead,

Who shall render to all according to their deeds.

You have poured forth upon us abundantly the Holy Spirit,

The gift and pledge of immortality,

That makes those who believe and follow the way

Emanations of the Divine

And joint heirs to eternity.

(Breath)

Be with me on my journey

Through this world of travails,

You who have sent the manifestations of your avatars

As guiding stars

To light our paths

And show us the way.

From darkness lead me to light.

From ignorance lead me to wisdom.

From death reveal to me my immortality.

Alone, with none but Thee, my God,

I journey on my way.

What need I fear when Thou art near?

Great ruler of night and day.

More safe am I within Thy hand

Than if a host did around me stand.

(Breath)

I arise this day through a mighty strength,

The invocation of infinity,

Through belief in the diversity,

In confessing the unity

Of the Creator in its creation.

I arise today through the love of all things holy,

In obedience of the edicts of fairness,

In service of others and for their love,

In the hope of reconciliation without thought of reward,

In the prayers of the people,

In the predictions of the oak-wise,

In the preaching of the professors,

In the innocence of the honest,

In the deeds of the righteous.

I arise this day through

The strength of heaven,

The light of sun,

Radiance of moon,

Splendor of fire,

Speed of lightning,

Swiftness of wind,

Depth of sea,

Stability of earth,

Firmness of stone,

And through the grace

Of that Dweller in the Beyond,

The mighty Creator of creation.

(Breath)

I arise today through

Divine strength to pilot me,

Divine might to uphold me,

Divine wisdom to guide me,

Divine eyes to look before me,

Divine ears to hear me,

Divine words to speak for me,

Divine shields to protect me,

Divine hosts to save me,

From snares and vices,

From distracting temptations of every kind,

From all those who would wish me ill,

Both near and far.

I set out upon the path of eternity.

Blessings go before me, blessings follow after me.

Blessings be in my footsteps.

Blessings in all my comings and goings.

The charm which the Originator placed upon its creation —

’Twas the bright one of inspiration

Who blew through the palms,

Knowledge of truth and no lie.

May I see the likeness of that which I am seeking.

(Breath)

Homage to the creators, the sustainers, and the guides,

Eternal Being, Eternal Light, Eternal Consciousness,

And above all that Transcendent One,

The great Dweller in the Beyond,

Whose form is the source of creation,

And whose reunion is the goal of all.

I invoke you —

Peaceful and wrathful incarnations of the Divine,

O Universal Champion, protector of beings,

Great unity of freedom in eternity,

Sacred goal of all ascended masters.

A hailing to you be on the lips, hearts, and minds

Of all beings as limitless as space.

Hear ye my humble voice which calls you

From here to there,

From now till then.

Glory to the host of heaven,

As it was in the beginning,

Is now, and ever shall be,

From the age of ages to all ages,

And unto the ending of time.

(Breath)

Hail to Thee, ruler of the thrones of the Earth,

The oldest of existences, the ancient of heaven.

Supporter of all things, origin of the Gods and men alike,

Hallmark of truth, cornerstone of justice.

Maker of humans, beasts, and herbs,

Maker of all things, both the above and the below,

Deliverer of the sufferer and oppressed,

Sole judge of the poor, source of wisdom and mercy,

Most loving opener of every way.

Source of joy, in whose goodness the Gods rejoice,

Thou whose name is hidden –

IAO

Hail to the one truth that the wise call by many names.

Adoration and praise be unto Thee,

A hailing to thee be on the lips, hearts, and minds

Of all creatures from every land,

From the heights of heaven

To the depths of the sea.

The Beings Thou hast made extol Thee, saying:

“We welcome thee and worship Thy spirit,

Which is within us

And in everything around us.”

The Holy are never truly lonely,

For thy live in the light of each others faces,

And their souls are like golden drops of joy.

Hail to Thee,

O self-manifest,

Double-sexed, the living X,

Across whose meeting point is undivided,

Begotten on Yourself,

Firstborn in the great womb of time and space.

You are the ocean of origin,

The progenitor of Earth.

Your harbor is the sanctuary

From whence all life emerged

And to which, in the end, all life must return.

It is You who bore the alpha and the omega,

The first and the last.

You are the alpha and the Omega.

You are the being of all life,

O Source of Life.

You move and move not.

You are both far and near,

Within all and outside all,

The end of all opposites and their beginning,

The source of all praise

And the goal of all prayers.

Intercede and be with us now,

More distant than the cosmos,

Yet closer to us than our own blood.

Fertile is the ground from which You

Manifest all things, all actions, all causes.

O ocean of chaos, founder of order,

You who bore the sacred mound

On which the first stirrings,

First life, and first fire were found.

You are both the Earth that nourishes the seed

And the beams of the granary

Wherein the harvest of the years is stored.

You are beyond measure,

Yet we measure our prayers to You.

You are the stage-ground where thought is played,

Ever virgin, source of all.

All is known to You,

And nothing can be hidden.

Hide not behind the veil of eternity,

But be with us now!

IAO

   (Ring bell)

O Divine One whose voice is thunder,

Whose presence is lightning,

First among like-natured Gods to dwell,

Hear my little voice that calls You here.

With libations, with prayers poured out,

We call You here.

Destroyer of opposition —

Destroy all which opposes us.

Remover of obstacles —

Remove all in our way.

Go forth before us along our path.

Guide us through the untamed lands,

O protector, O cleaver of mountains,

Whose footsteps shake the forest,

Whose trod the trembling earth resounds.

Be here now

IAO

(Ring bell)

When through intense confusion

I wander through this world in my progression
On the undistracted light path of
Study, reflection and meditation

May the sages of the sacred lineages go before me
the divine host of heaven behind me

Help me to navigate the paths of this world of progression

And bring me to a place calm, focus, and direction

When through intense ignorance
I wander through this world in my progression
On the luminous light path of the Oaken wisdom
May the blessed sovereign of the earth go before me
In consort the Regent of the waters behind me
Help me to navigate the paths of this world of progression

And bring me to the place of wisdom, understanding and realization,

When through intense aggression
I wander through this world in my progression
On the luminous light path of the mirror like wisdom
May eloquence go before me
In consort passion behind me
Help me to navigate the paths of this world of progression

And bring me to the place of calm, peace, and serenity

When through intense pride
I wander through this world in my progression
On the luminous light path of the wisdom of equality
May the blessing of humility go before me
In consort valor behind me
Help me to navigate the paths of this world of progression

And bring me to the place of undistracted self-realization

When through intense desire
I wander through this world in my progression
On the luminous light path of discriminating wisdom
May the long-reaching light of discernment go before me
In consort detachment behind me
Help me to navigate the paths of this world of progression

And bring me to the place of detached unrestrained allowance

When through intense envy
I wander through this world in my progression
On the luminous light path of action accomplishing wisdom
May the blessed expanse of eternity go before me
In consort material reality behind me
Help me to navigate the paths of this world of progression

And bring me to the place of selfless manifestation

When through intense unconscious tendencies
I wander through this world in my progression
On the luminous light path of abandoning all fear
May the blessed ones, peaceful and wrathful go before me
The host of ordered space behind me
Help me to navigate the paths of this world of progression

And bring me to the place of enlightened understanding

May the element of space not rise up as enemy
It is by will alone i set my mind in motion
May the element of air not rise up as enemy
With every breath I find communion
May the element of water not rise up as enemy
My heart beats like the moon reflected on the sea
May the element of earth not rise up as enemy
My roots dig deeper than my pilloried bones
May the rainbow of elements not rise up as enemy
May we find union in our common luminous source
May the sounds. Lights and rays of compassion not rise up as enemy

May i know all sounds as my own sound
May i know all lights as my own lights
May i know all rays as my own ray
May i spontaneously know universal wisdom as myself
May i attain understanding in as many worlds as my soul can handle
May the infinite ones shine forth their divine protection upon me
may i be a protector for all those without one
May I be a bridge, a board, a ship
For all those who wish to cross the dark waters of ignorance and fear
To reach the shores of enlightenment
May I be a beacon of that light
Which is a refuge of hope
Leading to harbor home
for all beings as limitless as space

From that point of consciousness within the eye divine
I come to this point between time and space
Pursuing my ascent across the plains of life
From the point of light within the mind divine
Let light stream forth into conscious minds
Let light manifest on earth
From the point of love within the heart divine
Let love stream forth into conscious minds
May grace return to the earth
From the shelf of compassion where the divine will is known
Let purpose guide our wills along
That purpose which the ancient masters knew and served
From that center to my own,
from here to there,
From now till then
We are here,
And we are one
For Thou art I
And I am you
And truly I say to you
Gather in my name
I am with you

To an offence against my Goddess I have unwittingly walked   *

O Lord, my offences are many, great are my misdeeds

The offence, into which i walked, I knew not

The Lord, in the wrath of his heart, has regarded me

God in the anger of his heart has surrounded me

The Goddess, who is angry against me, hath made me like a sick man (woman)

A God, known or unknown, hath oppressed me

A Goddess, known or unknown, hath wrought me sorrow

I sought for help, but none took my hand

I wept, but none came by my side

I cried aloud, and there was none that heard me

I am full of trouble, overpowered, and haven't the nerve to look up

To my merciful God I turn, I utter my prayer

The feet of my Goddess I kiss, I touch them

To the God, known or unknown, I turn I utter my prayer

O Lord, turn thy face to me, receive my prayer

O Goddess, turn graciously to me, receive my prayer

O Goddess, known or unknown, turn graciously to me, receive my prayer

How long, O my God, let thy heart be appeased

How long, O my Goddess, let thy heart be appeased

O God, known or unknown, let thy heart's anger return to its place

O Goddess, known or unknown, let thy hostile heart return to its place

Mankind are foolish, and there are none that knoweth

So many are they – who knoweth aught

Whether they do evil or good, no one knoweth

O Lord, cast not away thy servant

In the waters of mire, he lies, seize his hand

The misdeeds I have done, turn to a blessing

The offences which I have committed, may the wind bear away

My manifold offences strip off like a garment

O my God, my offences are nine times nine, forgive my offences

O my Goddess, my offences are nine time nine, forgive my offences

God, known or unknown my offences are nine times nine, forgive my transgressions

forgive my offences, for I humble myself before thee

Thy heart like a mother's, may it return to it's place

Like a mother that hath born children

Like a father that that begotten them

May it turn again to its place

Cleanse me of my offences, and raise for me my Honour

 **THE DEVOTIONAL**

IAO

We shall go unto the altar of the eternal,

even unto the source of our joy and gladness.

Give sentence with us, O You who dwell in the beyond,

defend our cause against those who would do us harm.

O Deliverer, deliver us from the deceitful and the wicked,

for You are the source of our strength and our joy.

O send out Your light and Your truth, that they may lead us,

and bring us to Your holy place and to Your dwelling,

that we may go unto the altar of eternity,

even unto the source of our joy and gladness.

And with my whole being will I give thanks unto You, and praise,

lift up our heavy hearts, and be not disquieted with us.

---

Let us put our trust in the ways of the eternal,

whose hands have through the course of time

placed these masks upon eternity that we might give thanks,

for we will give thanks to that ineffable,

which is the help of our countenance,

our goal and our hope.

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,

we shall go unto the altar of eternity,

even unto the source of our joy and gladness.

---

Holiness is best and the highest of all good;

it is also happiness, for in it is found wisdom.

and those who love wisdom love life,

and they who seek early shall be filled with joy;

happy are they who are holy with perfect holiness.

---

I profess myself a worshiper of the eternal Divine,

that dweller in the beyond, whose fathomless wings

---

I oppose the dark ones of the void,

supporting the universal law, and light

a proponent of this Omnist doctrine,

and a follower of the gospel of existence.

The will of the eternal

is the law of righteousness;

righteous are the judgments of those who will abide in it—

may their righteous judgments be just.

The gifts of Life

to the deeds done in this world for Holiness;

those who relieve the poor make of the prophets kings.

I praise good thoughts, good words, and good deeds,

and those that are to be thought, spoken, and done.

I accept all good thoughts, good words, and good deeds,

and I renounce all evil thoughts, evil words, and evil deeds.

---

I proffer to the eternal one through holy offerings:

sacrifice, and prayer, with thought, with word, with deed,

with my being, with the very life of my body.

To You, O flame, child of eternity, friend of Light,

with appeasement, for worship, for exaltation, and praise.

---

O Divinity above all others,

Icon of infinity, mask of eternity,

I announce and carry out this devotional

to You who disposes our minds aright.

who is the most bounteous spirit.

---

I announce and carry out this devotional

I announce and carry out this devotional

to the creator, the Holiness sanctified master of Holiness.

I celebrate this and carry out this devotional

for the business of gaining profit,

---

I announce and carry out this devotional

for Light, the Holy sanctified master of Holiness,

for the wise and the strong,

the holy master of Holiness.

I celebrate and carry out this devotional

to the champion who is the best,

and to the one who kindles in the head of mankind

the fire of thought.

I announce and carry out this devotional

for Mentors, the Holy sanctified masters of Holiness,

for Sisters and their brothers,

and for that lofty Nation mighty of families

wrought of the waters which the creator made for the eternal.

---

I announce and carry out this devotional

for the protector, the Holy sanctified master of Holiness,

and for Life, and the one who possesses

and gives that prosperity in living

which furthers all.

I celebrate and carry out this devotional

for kith and for kin,

for a prosperous home life

which continues without reverse throughout the year,

and for that might which is well shaped and stately,

which strikes victoriously, Divinely made,

and for that victorious ascendancy which it secures.

---

I announce and carry out this working

for those who further and augment the world,

and for the horizon makers,

those who extend the horizons.

I announce and carry out this working

for the monthly festivals,

and for the new and full moon,

the Holy sanctified masters of Holiness,

and for the full moon which scatters the dark of night.

I announce and carry out this working

for the yearly feasts,

the Holy sanctified masters of Holiness,

for the advancer, the spender of strength.

I celebrate and carry out this working

for the seasonal masters of Holiness,

for seasonable weather,

and abundance of the fruits of the Earth,

and for peaceful times.

---

For deliverance from all affliction,

wrath, danger, and distress,

for the peace from above

and for the salvation of our souls,

for the peace of the whole world,

the welfare of the holy,

their attendants and followers,

and for the unity of all.

---

Receive, O Holy One,

this devotion which we offer in Thine honor—

blessed one, holy one, sacred spirit,

and all Thy heroes and saints.

For our transgressions and offenses,

for the salvation of the living,

and the repose of all the faithful servants

who are sleeping now,

let this sacrifice be acceptable to Thee,

almighty ruler of the thrones of the Earth.

(Cense everything with the incense)

Let our prayers be set forth in thy sight as the incense

By it, may our breath in the heavens bear witness

To our prayers done here down below.

May we always strive to do in the world of the three

As the angels, saints, and heroes do in heavenly halls of Glory

(cense everything)

Cleanse me from all pollution of mind and body,
that I may in purity perform the holy work of Your offering.

In the spirit of humility, with a contrite heart,
let us be accepted by You this day.
May our sacrifice find favor in Your sight,
bringing pleasure to Your eternal grace.

To You we return this portion of Your bounty,
even as we must return to You.
With You, in You, and through You,
together our prosperity is bound.

To Your earth, we bring the plow;
by Your bounty, the harvest is made.
Through Your protection and the work of our hands,
our mutual prosperity is assured.

Giver of gifts, we offer the gift of the ground,
transformed by our toil into sustenance for us and for You.
Receive with welcome these first fruits,
a heartfelt offering, our gratitude laid bare.

A Prayer of Gratitude

May the peace of the eternal be with me, and May kindness abound.
To the God I know and the God I have yet to meet, I give thanks.
To the Goddess who guides me, seen and unseen, I offer my gratitude.
May the hearts of my God and Goddess be full of joy, for I turn to them with reverence.

For the blessings I have received, both known and unknown, I thank you.
For the food of my God that nourishes me, I am grateful.
For the clear waters of my Goddess that sustain me, I give thanks.
For the guidance you offer, even in my ignorance, I praise you.

Though I have faltered and walked unknowingly into error,
I now see the gifts you have given, the paths you have illuminated.
Where I once cried for help, you have come by my side,
And now I am filled with gratitude, for your mercy and love have embraced me.

To my merciful God, I turn in thanks; your grace knows no bounds.
At the feet of my Goddess, I bow with love and reverence,
For in your kindness, you have lifted me when I was low.

O Lord, I thank you for your patience, for your heart that forgives.
O Goddess, I thank you for your compassion, for your hand that heals.
May your hearts, full of love, remain open to me,
And may I walk in your light, with honor and humility.

For the wisdom you bestow, known and unknown, I give thanks.
For the blessings you shower upon me, I am eternally grateful.
For the forgiveness of my offenses, may I be cleansed and restored.
Your love is like that of a mother and father, nurturing and boundless,
And for that, I offer my deepest gratitude.

May my heart be pure, my soul at peace,
And my honor be raised,
As I walk with you, in thanks and praise.

Amen.

Leaves in the Wind is an omnist devotional prayer book.
It is composed as a liturgical mosaic, drawn from the central and perennial teachings of many sacred traditions, woven together so that no single lineage dominates, and the truth shared among them may be contemplated as one.

This work is an original composition. Passages are adapted, paraphrased, and re-expressed through a process of reverent redaction, following the long-standing tradition by which sacred texts have been transmitted, reformed, and renewed across cultures and centuries. Where the language echoes ancient or modern sources, it does so intentionally—in continuity with their spirit rather than as direct reproduction of any single rite or text. Certain passages are adapted in spirit from identifiable works, such as The Great Invocation attributed to Alice A. Bailey, and from the monks of `Thomas Merton in keeping with this work’s broader practice of contemplative synthesis.

The prayers and structures herein are synthesized from convergent theological, cosmological, and devotional elements found across multiple religious and cultural traditions, as understood within Omnism. No one liturgy is presented in full; rather, shared truths are distilled and arranged into a unified devotional form.
