In Terms of the Micrcosm/Macrocosm theory it would stand to reason that the litte day of each terresrtial rotation should in itself reflect the larger annual day of the Danu's great Circuit Around her Great and shinning Father. Reflexive of the little drop in which is contained the whole ocean. I accordance with Cesar's declaration that the Celts began both their year and day by nights in distinction of the Roman custom of measuring the day by it's break at dawn. Thus Samhain would naturally associate itself with the sunset, and as each year closes so it is with the closing of each day. Start the process of closing the day by washing off the dust of it be it in a bowl, a tub, a shower, or a lake. First bless the water then say a lustration prayer while bathing.
An Liutail, Lustration prayer:
Moladh ar smaladh an diugh, prayer for smooring the day:
Extingish the candle, heartfire, needfire.
Urnaidh cadal, Prayer before sleep:
*********
Prayer upon waking:
TAING dhuit, a Dhiathan Thug mise bho ’n de Gu tos an diugh, Chum solas siorruidh A chosnadh dha m’ chre Le feum maith. ’S air son gach tiodhlac sith A dh’iobair thu dhomh, Mo smuaine, mo bhriathra, Mo ghniamha, mo thoil, Tha mi tionnsgann duit. Tha mi ’g urnuigh riut, Tha mi griasad ort, Mo chumail bho lochd, Mo chomhnadh an nochd, Air sgath do lot, Le oifreil do ghrais.
THANKS to Thee, Gods, Who brought'st me from yesterday To the beginning of to-day, Everlasting joy To earn for my soul With good intent. And for every gift of peace Thou bestowest on me, My thoughts, my words, My deeds, my desires I dedicate to Thee. I supplicate Thee, I beseech Thee, To keep me from offence, And to shield me to-night, For the sake of Thy wounds With Thine offering of grace.

ScotsGaelic translation Some hae meat and canna eat, and some wad eat that want it, but we hae meat and we can eat, and sae the Lord be thankit.
Tha biadh aig cuid, 's gun aca cil;, acras aig cuid,'s gun aca biadh, ach againne tha biadh is slint', moladh mar sin a bhith don Triath.
